インド・ヨーロッパ祖族（インド・ヨーロッパそぞく）または印欧祖族（Proto-Indo-Europeans）はインド・ヨーロッパ祖語を話したユーラシアの先史時代の人々である。

^ 雪を表す語sneig^wh-がほぼ普遍的に見られるため、祖族は源郷の地で雪を知っていたと指摘されている^[2]。
^ 多くの親族語彙が再建され、家父長・父方居住・父系的な社会（女性は実家を離れ夫の家族に嫁入し、子孫は男系に属する）であったことが示されている。pǝter-は「父」と「家長」を同一的に示し、その配偶者はmāter-であるとされる^[2]
^ 分子人類学的には概ねハプログループI (Y染色体)やハプログループG (Y染色体)を中心とする集団に対応している。
