マルチレベルモデル

マルチレベルモデル（Multilevel model; MLM）は、階層線形モデル（Hierarchial linear model; HLM）、線形混合効果モデル、混合モデル、ネステッドデータモデル、ランダム係数、ランダム効果モデル、ランダムパラメータモデル、分割プロットデザインとも呼ばれ、複数のレベルで変化するパラメータの統計モデルである[1]。個々の生徒の成績と、生徒が属する学級の成績からなる生徒の成績のモデルが、一例として挙げられる。線形モデル（特に線形回帰）の一般化と見なすことができるが、非線形モデルにも拡張できる。これらのモデルは、十分な計算能力とソフトウェアが利用できるようになってから、より一般的になった。
