メジャー映画スタジオ

メジャー映画スタジオ（major film studios）は、年間に相当数の映画を公開し、特定の市場で常にかなりの興行収入のシェアを占めている制作・配給会社のこと。アメリカ合衆国（ハリウッド映画）および国際市場において、メジャー映画スタジオは、単にメジャーズ（majors）としても知られ、一般的に5つの多角的なメディア・コングロマリットとみなされており、様々な映画制作・配給子会社が合計でアメリカ合衆国の興行収入の約80～85％を占めている[1][2]。また、それぞれのコングロマリットの主要な映画事業子会社を指すこともある。
