ITV’s surprise sci-fi hit Primeval returns to BBC America Saturday. To celebrate the return, Hollywood targeted the show for a little big screen evolution.
According to Daily Variety, Warner Bros. and Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman picked up Primeval‘s movie rights. For better or worse, the studio plans to transplant the time-warping, dinosaur-battling premise to the U.S.
As for the third season of the U.K. version, new episodes begin airing Saturday at 9 p.m. (8 p.m. Central) on BBC America. As the growing number of temporal anomalies release a more bizarre collection of creatures into the 21st century, new faces appear in Primeval‘s cast — including Jason Flemyng as Danny Quinn, Ben Mansfield as Captain Becker and Laila Rouass as Sarah Page.
