Chong·qing
(chông′chĭng′, cho͞ong′-) also Chung·king (cho͝ong′kĭng′, jo͝ong′gĭng′) A city of south-central China on the Yangtze River. It was the capital of Chiang Kai-shek's government from 1937 to 1946.
