I could watch and enjoy the first 20min of this movie over and over and over until the day I die. Not that the rest of the movie isn't great. It's hugely entertaining, which contrary to most of today's cinema, takes a back seat to making sure all the right boxes are checked. Ms. Arquette is absolutely mesmerizing in this film, too often overshadowed by the names elsewhere. Yeah, Slater, Samuel L., Hopper, Oldman, Gandolfini, Walken, Pitt, Sizemore, Penn, etc. In a film so loaded with just ridiculous amounts of talent, the real star is Alabama, played by Patricia Arquette.

True love is something to fight for, even if it means killing others to do it! Clarence Worley and Alabama Whitman are on the run after Clarence kills Whitman's pimp and steals a suitcase of cocaine from a dangerous crime family, spurring a cross-country crime spree. Hilariously violent yet oddly romantic, this tale of romance, guns and carnage is as endearing as any other romantic comedy!
