OF COURSE, HE HELPED THE ROYALS GET TO THE WORLD SERIES IN 2014 AND 15. HE WAS A TWO TIME ALL-STAR AND A GOLD GLOVE WINNER, LORENZO SAID. IT WAS A SPECIAL TIME IN HIS LIFE. IT WAS TOUGH TO MOVE ON BECAUSE THE GROUP THAT I PLAYED WITH WAS LIKE, SAY IT WAS FAMILY. THOSE WERE MY BROTHERS, STILL ARE MY BROTHERS. OVERALL, I FEEL LIKE WE ALL DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. He's forever Royal. A mainstay of the Kansas City Royals' 2015 World Series team returned to Kauffman Stadium Saturday for a special honor. Lorenzo Cain signed a one-day contract with the team, allowing him to retire as a Royal. "Playing here was some of the best years of our life," Cain said Saturday. Cain left the Royals for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2018, but Kansas City's love for LoCain was so strong that he received a standing ovation when he returned to bat in Kansas City, just wearing the other team's uniform.Several former coaches and teammates attended the ceremony on the field, saluting his seven seasons in Kansas City.

He's forever Royal.
