The actor was dressed for the chilly autumn weather in a big coat and scarf as he filmed scenes outside a hotel.

His co-star Mary Louise Parker looked a little cold, as her costume consisted of a little black dress and a fur coat that she casually flung around her shoulder.

In between takes, the thespians seemed to be getting friendly with each other, as they were spotted chatting and laughing while the crew prepared for the next shot.

The film is a sequel to the thriller Red, released in 2010, in which Bruce played a former black-ops agent who had to reassemble his old team after getting threatened by an assassin.

The new movie features and all-star cast including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Helen Mirren, Anthony Hopkins and David Thewlis, although the plot is still unknown.

Despite being in his late fifties, the actor is still a firm favourite in the film industry.

Following the whopping six films he starred in this year, the actor already has four projects in the pipeline for 2013, including the sequel to Red.

One of his upcoming movies is the fifth installment of the massively popular Die Hard films, which will be called A Good Day to Die Hard.

And although he's perfected the role of John McClane in the franchise, Bruce recently admitted he felt doing a new movie would be a risk because of his age.

'The risk is more … I guess it's a personal challenge,' Willis explained to Huffington Post.

'There are gaps of time between each movie. It's a kind of ageist tryptic: "Oh, OK, now I'm this age", and trying to tell that action movie, Die Hard theme, but I'm a little older.'

'I think to myself: "How fast can I run? How well can I fight?" So that's a challenge.'

'There's a story, if you look at all of them from the first film to the one we just did. And you see me age over these films, that has its own interest to me.'
