It is not just us, even politicians are going crazy over Pokémon Go, the new augmented reality game that has set the world going crazy. So much so, we doubt that there’s now a Pokémon Go cult. The latest to join them is Norwegian politician Trine Skei Grande, who could not resist playing the game, even during a parliamentary session on the country’s defense policy!
The Liberal Party leader was caught on camera catching a Pokémon immediately after asking a question to military experts present at the session.
According to ABC, the 46-year-old politician justified her action by saying that some people’s heads listen better when doing something brain dead at the same time and that not all are alike. She said she stopped playing after other members of the committee had said they had taken offence to her activity.
The popularity of the game is evidently soaring and people who we least expected to, have taken a shine to the game, including Israel’s President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin! The 76-year-old President uploaded a picture of a Meowth Pokémon who he came across while playing the game at the presidential residence in Jerusalem. He posted the photo with a caption that translated to “Somebody call security!”
Closer home, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma declared their love for the game. When Pokémon Go obsession was at its soaring peak in India, a mash-up video of Khan from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham chasing after a Pokémon went viral. He shared it on Twitter with a caption, “This is quite close to how I would feel and then of course, capture it!!”, thus going official with his love.
But first, here’s the video of the Norwegian Party leader playing Pokémon Go.
Also, this is who the Israel President met in the presidential residence, according to his Facebook post.
