Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce was delighted with the goal scoring performance of Stephen Warnock at Hull City on the weekend.
David Dunn's hamstring injury though, combined with Gael Givet's starring cup roles since arriving from Marseille, have allowed Allardyce to revive Warnock's midfield experiment.
Allardyce said: "He has played there before I came and Dunny didn't make it with a hamstring. I wanted to continue the system we played at Manchester United because it had worked so well.
"Gael Givet would not have deserved to have been left out so by the performance and the result of both those players it has been a good decision.
"Stephen scoring and making one has made it an even better decision."
