Damien Duff, Steve Sidwell, Giorgos Karagounis, John Arne Riise and Jonny Heitinga are all leaving Fulham following their relegation from the Premier League.
Duff, who won 100 caps for the Republic of Ireland and had a spell with Chelsea, joined Fulham in 2009 and played nearly 200 games for the club.
Last month Duff confirmed he would be leaving with Australia and America in mind, saying: "I'm up at the end of the season.
"The club haven't spoken to me and I haven't spoken to the club but we don't need to speak: I'll be leaving Fulham. I've had a great time here but that's football.
"I've had a few whispers from here and there but I'm just trying to get this [injury] right first.
"I've looked at the Australia or America thing for a bit, it would be a different way of life, a different league; I think life's too short just to be stuck in the rat race, if that's the right phrase, over here so I'd maybe like to taste something new before I go back home."
Midfielder Sidwell, former Liverpool and Norway left back Riise, Greece's 132-cap captain Karagounis and Dutch defender Heitinga, who joined from Everton in January, have also been released, along with Mali midfielder Mahamadou Diarra.
Fulham's 13-year stay in the Premier League ended this month and they will play in the Championship next season.
