Andre Blake and Jamaica defeated Trinidad and Tobago in a shootout to win the 2014 Caribbean Cup - their sixth overall. Not only did the Reggae Boyz secure their spot in the 2015 Gold Cup, they also punched their ticket to the 2016 Copa América Centenario tournament. Jamaica dominated the match, not allowing Trinidad and Tobago a single shot on goal during the initial 90 minutes.
When the match went to penalties, Blake made a save on the first shot he faced from Cardiff City striker Kenwyne Jones. Trinidad goalkeeper Marvin Phillip also made a save, however the final Trinidad shot by Genk midfielder Khaleem Hyland went high over the bar giving the Reggae Boyz the win.
Blake ended the tournament on a 381 minute scoreless streak. He allowed just one goal for the entire tournament - at the 29 minute mark in the first match against Martinique he allowed a Yoann Arquin goal after the Jamaican defense botched a clearance. This stellar performance earned Blake the Golden Gloves Award for best goalkeeper in the tournament.
Trinidad and Tobago (as well as Haiti and Cuba) have also qualified for the 2015 Gold Cup. Fifth-place French Guiana will need to face off against Honduras in a two match playoff to determine which one of them will make the Gold Cup.
