          Gronkowski signs rookie deal

          As expected, second-round draft choice Rob Gronkowski has signed with the Patriots, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports.

          That leaves inside linebacker Brandon Spikes (second round) and cornerback Devin McCourty (first round) as the lone remaining unsigned picks. A deal for Spikes is close and could be completed by the end of the day, sources say.

          As for Gronkowski, the Patriots made an aggressive move on draft day to select him 42nd overall, leapfrogging the Baltimore Ravens in a trade. Gronkowski is part of a completely revamped tight end position in New England.

          Patriots rookies are scheduled to report to Gillette Stadium today.
