It was reported last week that Wigginton was being signed by Toronto, after he went undrafted in the two-round NBA draft.
Wigginton announced last April he wouldn’t be returning to the NCAA Division 1 school and was declaring himself eligible for the NBA draft in June.
The past two seasons at Iowa State, Wigginton became a star. He is now talked about as being amongst the best future NBA prospects north of the border.
He averaged more than 13 points a game this season, despite missing about 10 games due to a foot injury. Wigginton came off the bench much of the year, but was always a key player down the stretch in games for Iowa State, which made national headlines this year by winning the Big 12 championship this season.
