Zurich-based Millbrook Pictures has boarded David Cronenberg’s “A Dangerous Method,” starring Keira Knightley, Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender.

Run by Thomas Sterchi and Karl Spoerri, Millbrook joins producer Jeremy Thomas and his London shingle Recorded Picture Co. as well as co-producers Marco Mehlitz of Berlin-based Lago Film and Marty Katz of Prospero Pictures in Toronto.

Spoerri is serving as co-producer while Sterchi and Matthias Zimmermann are exec producing alongside RPC’s Peter Watson and Stephan Mallmann.

Written by Christopher Hampton (, pic explores the relationships between fledgling psychiatrist Carl Jung, his mentor Sigmund Freud and Sabina Spielrein, the troubled young woman who comes between them. Vincent Cassel also stars.

Thomas’ HanWay Films is handling worldwide sales for the film, which began principal photography last month in Cologne, Germany.
