A new number on bricklayers' works was issued in 1700, nine years after Joseph Moxon's death, presumably by his son James Moxon. This number was added to a third edition published in the same year. Cf. Harris

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy G.676.M87R v.1 no.2 bound in modern brown buckram. Title stamped in gilt on black spine label. BPL bookplate. BPL perforation stamp on title page with embossed stamp of J.J. Greenough. Greenough's autograph appears throughout. The present copy comprises numbers from both the first and second editions (numbers 1-3 are dated 1683, 1683, and 1684 respectively). Bound uniformly with a copy of vol. 2 cataloged as G.676.M87R v.2. This is the second of two items bound together in a single volume, the first of which is Moxon's Regulae trium ordinum (1676).
