The downside to the Wide Boy is that gamers can only see the game on the TV and not an actual Game Boy Color, since they have to play it using a Nintendo 64 controller. A new version of the Wide Boy has now eliminated this problem.
At the Tokyo Game Show, most every Game Boy game was using the newly-modified version of the Wide Boy 64. The new version actually has a modified Game Boy Color attached to the front of the cartridge through a thick cable ¿ users play the game on the Game Boy system, and can see how the game looks on both the Game Boy Color screen while putting the game on display for other people to see.
Again, the Wide Boy 64 will not be released to the public, but we thought it was interesting enough to tell you all about it.
