Graeme Souness shouting at Thierry Henry is frightening and awkward

Thierry Henry will think twice about interrupting Graeme Souness after this happened

Graeme Souness took issue with Thierry Henry's constant interruptions

Graeme Souness has given a frightening reminder of his ability to put the fear of God into men.

The former Liverpool captain, renowned for his reputation in the past as a no-nonsense midfield-enforcer, put Thierry Henry firmly in his place on Sunday afternoon after Arsenal's score draw with Tottenham.

The pair were appearing as a part of Sky Sports' Premier Super Sunday coverage of the North London derby, and the debate on the merits-cum-failures of Arsenal's this season saw the debate get rather fraught.

When Thierry Henry unwisely chose to butt-in on one of Souness' points, the formerly moustached-midfielder had no option to put Henry firmly in his place - and it was a little bit scary.

As the former Arsenal striker attempted to interject on the argument, Souness barked: "I'm talking!"

Speaking after Arsenal's home draw with Tottenham, Thierry Henry insisted his former side missed a pricless opportuniuty to overtake Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

"I think that Tottenham played better than Arsenal, but ultimately when you know Manchester City have drawn a game and you can get two points ahead of them you have to take that opportunity and today they didn't," Henry said.

Alan Pardew delivered the second-best putdown of the weekend when he gave Jurgen Klopp this 'talk to the hand' response to the German's touchline remonstrations in Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Pardew's Crystal Palace.

"The face ain't listening, Jurgen!"

The whole uncomfortable incident between Henry and Souness is reminiscent of a similarly awkward television moment that occured during the BBC's coverage of England's Euro 2012 group stage game with Ukraine.

After Alan Shearer talks right over his former BBC pundit, Lee Dixon is caught on camera remonstrating with presenter Gary Lineker over Shearer's improper conversation etiquette.
