Rolling Stones gig latest
Frankfurt not over yet
20 June 06 -The Rolling Stones haven't written off their concert in Frankfurt, Germany just yet.
Reports suggest the concert has been cancelled completely because Keith Richards still needs to recover from his brain surgery.
Whilst Keith is still ill following treatment, organisers have been working hard to rearrange the date, according to a band spokesman, out of the six gigs in Germany this was the one they felt had to be pulled. However according to one source who spoke to 6 Music earlier today, it's not off and could take place later next year, the plan is to make sure it happens at some point in the future.
The veteran rock group are due to restart their world tour in Milan on 11 July and they will then travel through Austria, Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, Portugal and Spain .
Their UK dates in London, Glasgow, Sheffield and Cardiff in late August remain unchanged, and the tour ends in Denmark on 3 September. But gigs in Barcelona, Madrid, Brussels, Gothenburg, St Petersburg, Brno, Warsaw, Athens, and Zagreb are still to be rescheduled.
Two concerts, in Nuremberg and Leipzig, have already been cancelled.
Only recently, it was confirmed that the group's guitarist, Ron Wood, was being treated for alcohol dependency. Wood's publicist admitted that the 59-year-old had checked into a clinic in London . But the band said he would definitely join them for their European concerts.
The rock legends' A Bigger Bang tour has been travelling the world since last August.
