Vol. 2 was edited by the author, vol. 3 by Sir Kenelm Digby. -- STC
Volume 2 is a reissue of STC 14753.5, with the first sheet run through the press again by Bernard Alsop and Thomas Fawcett to print a general title on blank A1 -- STC. In some copies the 2nd and 3rd plays have been reversed from their 1631 printed order (as reflected by pagination and register) to reflect the order given on the 1640 t.p
The three plays comprising vol. 2 have separate title pages with device of John Beale and imprint: "London, printed by I.B. for Robert Allot ... 1631."
Vol. 3 is printed in three sections, begins on B1 and lacks a general t.p. Order of the plays varies among copies, so also then do pagination and signatures. Corrected publication date from individual title pages in vol. 3, several of which are dated 1641
Vol. 3 printed by John Dawson for Thomas Walkley -- STC
Each work in vol. 3 has a separate title page except the Masques which begin on B1 with "Christmas his masque" (caption title); running title is Masques
Woodcut initials and head-pieces
Printed notes within ruled margins
Variants include: Bartholmevv fayre with variant t.p. wanting horizontal rules, reprinted L2.3 lacking the catchword on L3v; in Staple of news, ²F2 usually is printed F3, but in some copies is corrected; Tale of a tub variant ends with the word 'finis'; Mortimer ends either with "Left unfinished" or "Hee dy'd, and left it unfinished."
