Kamasi Washington has announced his full-length follow-up to 2015’s The Epic. It’s called Heaven and Earth (out June 22 via Young Turks). Washington stated in a tweet, “The Earth side represents the world as I see it outwardly, the world that I am a part of. The Heaven side represents the world as I see it inwardly, the world that is a part of me.” Find that below.

Last year, Washington released the Harmony of Difference EP. He also joined Terrace Martin’s new group the Pollyseeds for their debut The Sounds of Crenshaw, Vol. 1, and he appeared in the “Mountains of Gold” video from Richard Russell’s Everything is Recorded, which also featured Sampha, Wiki, and Ibeyi.
