My first job was in a place called 'The Fragrance Shop' and as a lover of perfumes, it was perfect for me. It was 1999-2000 and I remember this scent so well. Dreamy and delicious. I'm so surprised to see all these notes because it was such a soft, mellow, sweet vanilla based fragrance. Dreamy is the perfect adjective for it. This would be the ultimate bedtime scent as I would imagine the scent would induce great dreams. There is something soothing about this fragrance too. There's a reason this is still in production and it's probably Anna Sui's best scent.

This fragrance is one of the most comforting and relaxing scents I have had the pleasure of experiencing. I mostly get a beautifully soft and airy vanilla with just a hint of citrus.

It simultaneously feels like a lazy Sunday running a few slow errands while wearing blue jeans and a crisp white tee, as well as a very specific nostalgia for going to the city with my parents in 2001-2003 to go and buy a Nintendo game.

I agree with the comments that something about this scent evokes a cloud like quality, it's so deliciously gentle that it doesn't feel "on" you, but rather "around" you.

Perfect weekend scent - absolutely love.

jellybeantree

Ah this was a favourite of mine. Wore it everyday. Was free and young and it reminds me of the good old days. Great memories. This and ultraviolet were my favourites. Very nostalgic to me. It was long lasting for an edt as well. Got many compliments on it back in the day. Sweet, powdery, precious.

walkingdress1809

this was my first blind buy; usually, that's something only my mom does. but i saw an old print magazine ad where the sui dreams bottle looked perfectly accessible, so palm-sized, and hyperreal in its frosted neon blue.

it smells like nothing on me. or, it smells like the memory of nothing — a finger that’s already been licked clean of its whipped cream dollop.

i still wear it almost everyday, usually with other scents. though, for me, both its longevity and sillage (even when i spray it over clothes, lotion, or body oils) is pea-sized and poor, i enjoy using it as a sugar layer for fruit or smoke.

what i like most, though, is spraying 8 pumps of it all over my nightgown after a steamy shower. it makes me feel like i’ve caught into a vanilla mushroom cloud, with maybe a rose stuck in my hair.

Recently got this and fell in love ever since, its a very unique smell to say the least, sweet, vanilla, powder... its...beautiful!

londonviolinist

I wore this as a teenager and loved it! It smelled totally unique to me - sweet, powdery, but with a bit of spice. Would actually like to get my hands on it again!

strawbrrymelk

It's not discontinued. It's on the official Anna Sui site.

Erin23

This is one of the first perfumes I ever bought and I recently found it again after 20 or so years. It's such a unique fragrance. It smells like nectarine, orange, vanilla and warm spices. It's soft, dreamy, comforting. It brings back so many memories and I can't believe I forgot about it for so long. Perfect signature scent and I'm going to say it's back at my #1. Great for any age.

zaz13

One of my first perfume. I bought it because it gives me such a nostalgic feeling and reminds me of my early teens 😢 I can’t describe this scent but it’s like fairy dust, it’s magical in a fantasy world type of way. It has a cold yet very comforting feeling due to the musk. Cashmere isn’t listed but it feels like this with a slightly sweet and powdery touch. I feel like Iris should also be listed as a note. I don’t get any fruits Appart from a tiny bit of the bergamot and you can smell the anise and the vanilla. This a quiet gentle scent that wouldn’t offend anyone but isn’t ground breaking either but it transports you in a fairytale land so the name is perfect. I wear it to bed 😍

lanasmellrey

the opening is extremely citrusy, and it lasted so long it made me question whether this would ever become a vanilla fragrance at all. after about 30-45 mins this turned into a beautiful powdery vanilla with a touch of peach. i just wish the sharp opening didn’t last as long

gul_

smells amazing and nostalgic.

heartzel

Had to buy this perfume just by looking at the bottle. Didn't disappoint in the least. Think vanilla, cake with frosting and dolls. It gives off the biggest Melanie Martinez, Sofia Coppola Marie Antoinette vibes, perfect for young women and girls who feel nostalgic about this 2010s era. It is definitely a unique scent from the nutmeg and sweet vanilla. You can smell the peach quite well, added to the extremely faint orange that makes it smell fresh. I would recommend carrying this bottle around with you as the longevity is moderate to weak, however I am pleased that it isn't a sickly, over-powering chemical scent nor an outdated floral scent that you would typically coincide with older women. Perfect for every day wear... Not my signature scent but I would keep buying due to the dreamy nostalgic feeling I get from it. 8/10

Paddibear

This is so lovely. Perfectly dreamy. It is so light (maybe too light?) and airy. I find it quite romantic. Owl City’s Vanilla Twilight comes to mind when I smell this. Love!

Aiga1

Soft, cuddly vanilla scent, easy to wear and not overbearing.

likesleet

a lot of nothing. powdery. slightly bitter?

Rainstorm

I will always love this scent. Nostalgia alone isn’t the reason, but it is because it is a great easy to wear scent. I would still wear this now although it is i feel more juvenile compared to fragrances I choose to wear now. There is something about this that makes me just feel plain happy and quite magical. A magical subtle piece of art created by Anna Sui. For such a simple fragrance it is well blended and oriental with the right balance to it. Something about this just works beautifully. To me out of all the perfumes I’ve ever smelled this is one of those rare unforgettable ones.

cheffe

my grandma used to wear this when i was younger.. my mum also used to wear a lot of perfumes but this was the one that stood out to me most in my childhood.

it smells so clean and soft, you can definitely smell the vanilla in it but it isn't heavy and it would never give you a headache from putting it on or smelling it around you, to me this smell makes me imagine as if an angel would cuddle you. when i was a kid, it always reminded me of a sophisticated smell of baby powder lol, a really safe buy and safe smell.

for her birthday i bought her this fragrance again and i can say it smells so beautiful, now even i am tempted to buy a bottle myself! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

fairyisland

This is one of my favourite vanilla fragrances! it’s very sweet and has a slightly fondant type scent (in a good way) it’s rich and creamy without being too heavy and smells like a beautiful vanilla frosting, maybe this would be off-putting to those who don’t like very sweet smells but I don’t think it’s cloying or sickly sweet, a really beautiful scent at a great price.

Fashionplatefanny

Something has changed. I managed to get a bottle. I owned a bottle in early 2000’s and it was stunning. I remember it being a soft powdery, make up powder scent, it was sweet though but now it just smells like a milky vanilla!!! Ugh has it been reformulated or is it my body chemistry that has changed? Not loving this as much as I once did.

antfarm

A transparent, cuddly, peppery, almost watery pouf of vanilla. Like a cloud of gently spiced vanilla vapor. Not heavy or warm or overpoweringly sweet like other vanillas. It does kind of smell like the blue liquid in the bottle. Like if you took vanilla and turned it blue like a cloud or transformed vanilla extract into cartoon water-- this is that. Very easy to wear.

*loves_shoes*

I used to wear this in university, so bought a bottle when I found it again recently.
It’s a great fragrance, well blended, not too sweet but definitely a sweet vanilla feminine kind of scent, fruity and floral, and not too powdery at all.
Really love this one, happy memories in a bottle.

sagasår

It's a beautiful fragrance, it's comforting and dreamy. There is a strong fruity element to it, and yet the creamy vanilla and warm spices really cast that super lovely warm aroma. Its like sleeping in a beautiful sea of clouds at twilight. Its gentle and ethereal. It has a lolita lempicka element for sure, and I think that has to do with the vanilla and anise. The dry down is beautiful too, its mature, silky and musky. The lasting power is great, it really stays for a long time too and the bottle is gorgeous! A very safe buy! 8.9/10

cassiesta

This smelled so gross to me. The notes don't combine well. I think it's the nutmeg clashing with some fruity sweet note. I've been wanting to try it again to give a more in depth review, but I'm scared to try this again as it made me feel almost queasy. I will trade/sell my mini bottle to anyone who wants it.

HawaiiMoon88

I adore this fragrance. Sweet, powdery, soft and pretty. I used to envy my sister when she wore it then ended up getting my own bottle!!! :)

angienotesjunkie

My younger sister gifted me a bottle when this was first released. At that time I owned 4 bottles of perfume. Dior Poison, JPG Classique, Chanel Coco and Mugler Angel. This quirky little bottle wasn't even on my radar, but my little sister thought it was cute and chose it for me 😊 This was a love for me and not only because my sister had sweetly saved up her Saturday job cash to buy it for me. I found something about the pretty blue juice bewitchingly.

It's been a while since I've had this in my collection. I remember it being a soft, dreamy, dimmed fragrance. Vanilla with a good dose of anise, peachy-rose, nutmeg, musk and sandalwood.

I think its time I acquire a new bottle and become reacquainted with this dreamy scent.

Fashionplatefanny

This was one of my first perfumes, I wore it in my late teens and I’m so glad it’s still around so that I can buy this for my teen daughter so she too can experience “Dreams”.

To me this is what I imagine fairy dust would smell like. It’s so soft, creamy, ever so light. It leaves a dreamy like impression with it’s gorgeous sweet dusting of floral, vanilla skin scent.

It wears close to the skin, it is well blended. It will never cause a migraine or offend anyone sharing your space. The bottle is ever so sweet also. This is the perfect first perfume for a teen.

If you like loud obnoxious perfumes with huge migraine inducing silage this will not be the fragrance for you but if you want to smell like an angel I highly recommend it.

dglightblue

Sui dreams: soft, rounded, make up powder.

I voted vanilla, musk, powdery, musk, clean.
I dont percieve the other listed notes.

Appropriate for any age.

Katy perry indi could be similar... maybe Dreams is a much lighter version of mont blanc signature, that type of scent. Slightly warm, slightly sweet makeup powdery.

LMD

It always amazes me how you can form an idea from the notes pyramid that turns out to be nothing like you thought. I was attracted to try this perfume by the mandarin and orange as I love the smell of these. Unfortunately I get no fruit whatsoever from this, no peach, no nectarine or oranges of any sort. To me it is a floral vanilla with a musky woody base. Although this perfume was launched in 2000 it feels very 90s to me, very teen girl trying to be grown up. I don't hate it but equally I don't love it either. Glad I bought a sample and not a full bottle.
Edit: I can really smell the anise as the dry down settles

lorraine2000xxx

I started using Sui Dreams when it was launched in 2000 too and I'm still using it up until today. It's my signature smell for almost 20 years.

I just bought 5 bottles on eBay for stock them up and hope they will not be discontinue..please!

Isa Ramirez

Medium intensity and after a short time, mild medium.
Average duration of 2-3 hours
As a personal opinion it seems an almost childish perfume, all fresh and clean tones give me the feeling of being a baby perfume. It is a very citric aroma that leaves off the fruity tones, as time passes citrus can be seen along with the floral. Vanilla is turned off just like fruits.
It is a perfume that good ... it may be fine to cool in hot weather but not much else.
I bought it while on sale and I would not recommend buying it if it is expensive because it is a simple perfume.
It is not an elegant perfume, it is not a special perfume ... although of course those who like very citrus perfumes will like it.

scentsational taste

Well I'm in fine form at the moment my reviews are not very positive at the moment not having much luck with perfumes. I finally was able to get this which had a cult following in its day but to me it is like the 1 she had in the orange butterfly bottle just something off in it. It almost has a furry fusty musty smell I just can't handle. I will keep trying but so far it just smells odd to me like face wash rather than perfume. It has no staying power on me so that also doesn't help my opinion of it.

Phantomias

Sweet and inoffensive, D. is a vanilla fragrance in a cute package. The fruit notes are so weak as to be insubstantial, vanilla is the only note I can pick up.
Sillage and lasting power is poor, and one has to wonder why a perfume with such bad performance is put on the market. The flacon is undeniably cute, but the packaging shouldn't be the best aspect of a perfume, IMO.

Molly Smith

It's not discontinued, it's 15 euros/50 ml at a drugstore Rossamann in Germany.

HoneySuck

I love the orange creamsicle hit, I love it, it smells like breakfast time in Paris.

It wears so softly on the skin, never headachey no matter how heavy handed i am with it and lasts forever in your hair. This is one for girls that are in new relationships, its fun, romantic and so damn feminine without slapping pure vanilla all over you.

Its a big warm hug without being too sickly, i dont find it too sweet, i think its organce and soft vanilla is right on 50/50 which is why i love it so.

Always a fan of this little blue frosted gem and am forever grateful it can be so easily found again in Australia for such an excellent price.

Cant beat $24 for 30ml.

taureanrage69

I'm glad this is as light as it is given the vanilla, anise and nutmeg, but for me it's soft enough to actually be wearable. I am sensitive to many stronger fragrances with vanilla in such a prominent role, but this one doesn't bother me. Plus I'm a fan of peach so that combined with the other fruity notes make it more of a fragrance I can enjoy wearing. I think this is an oriental vanilla that someone could get by with wearing to work, it's not heavy or overly sweet, and not what some would call cloying. It lasts surprisingly long on my skin: 6 hours after application I am still enjoying an unusually pleasant-pretty floral woody base, a little sweeter than most drydowns but in a good way.

paula.billinge.1

I loved Sui Dreams, and had many bottles and gift sets of it until it was discontinued. I still have the shower gels and body lotions from the gift sets. It was powdery, vanilla and sweet though not sickly or headache inducing. After a couple of hours it became a skin scent. I could drain a 30ml bottle in no time with keep spraying it. Then I discovered Katy Perry Royal Revolution. On me it is a much louder Sui Dreams. Once RR has settled, I think it's very very close to Sui Dreams. The design of SD, turquoise & silver are the same as RR and it was this that piqued my interest on RR. R.I.P Sui Dreams you are very much missed.

gweyslabao

Initially, it smelled like a minty cough syrup... then it dried down into a wonderful fresh floral powdery scent.

Singabera

I had it in school, very girly and cute perfume, light vanilla with hint of citrus and spring flowers, not overpowering or very sweet, but quite recognizable - for all that years I did not met perfume which sounds similar, but it's indeed has similar style to Burberry Brit or Babydoll YSL.
And yes, comparing to majority of recent mass market and luxe launhces that one is almost a masterpiece)

MoonInAquarius

I had this at the end of high school into the beginning of college I think. Again, this is nostalgia only. I think it was one of the first perfumes I remember going out to choose for myself and it smelled young and sweet and powdery and vanilla-y.

gabbi4god

Absolutely love this light feminine fairytale perfume. I’m a huge fan of Lolita Lempicka and this could be from her line minus the licorice. Perfectly light and airy. A great fragrance for spring. It just makes me feel happy and upbeat. I’d buy it again for sure. Great price on it as well. $24.99 at TJ Maxx. Great blind buy. I’m extremely happy.

applestrudle

The vanilla disappears so quickly! :( Then it turns into a white floral, maybe a slight hint of sandalwood and jasmine...

LadiJudi57

With very sensitive sinus' I am very particular to what I wear, and Anna Sui Dreams is one of very few I can wear. I get many compliments wearing it. I like it very much and it's getting difficult to find! I buy it when I can find it!

theuntrainednose

Starts sweet, really sweet, far too sweet for me. Vanilla, overwhelming vanilla, and some fruit which is actually not badly done.

However, as it dries down it becomes different, more powdery, spicier, less fruity. Much more comforting and sleep-inducing. Sometimes musky as well, though it comes and goes (I do not enjoy the musk here). For this phase, the name Dreams is perfectly appropriate.

I own a sample and will be wearing as a comforting scent to fall asleep to. However, I do not think I enjoy it enough to buy it.

If I find a scent with less vanilla, more nutmeg and maybe something milky instead of fruity, I suspect that will be my perfect sleep scent. Meanwhile, this one will be pleasant to fall asleep to.

ScarlettX

A simple everyday scent. I sense it as fruity, sweet, spicy and fresh at the same time.
I am not a fan of overwhelming peach scent in it, but mostly it's still ok.
I can also sense sandalwood and vanilla.
It's a decent scent, but I am not too crazy about it.

Edemay

Ordered this baby again, i missed it.
I wore it when i was young, i had a mini and the body lotion.
This perfume is so innocent and sweet but there is the nutmeg and anise that linger in the back which spices up the scent for me and adds some maturity.

I'll be wearing it on warm days when i want to smell clean and sweet.

darlingnadine

I remember this being a very light, sweet scent. Too light for me. It reminded me of candy hearts...

bexlee

Picked this up recently from TJ Maxx for about 20$, so I was expecting a nice, if cheap, scent. Actually turned out to be really nice! Unlike other Sui scents I've tried, the fruity notes are lighter and covered by a top note of vanilla. I'm not getting the baby oil scent that other people have mentioned, just a fairly sweet scent with good lasting power and sillage. Recommend it for people who like vanilla!

Noiresque

I was expecting a stronger, or at least, richer fragrance for an oriental vanilla. It's very sweet, and there's nothing particularly spicy about the opening.
In dry down, however, the nutmeg wakes up, and is most welcome, as the orange fudgesicle opening is unbearably sweet and uniinteresting.
It's a pleasant, though not a signature, fragrance., that sits close to the skin.
This is for a very young woman, or women of any age wanting a sweet skin scent on a casual day.
ps: loving the nutmeg! Perhaps a good fragrance to wear while wrapping Christmas presents.

Crystals On My Converse

This bottle is quite possibly my favourite of all time - shaped like a handbag with turquoise/blue liquid! I love the vanilla citrus of this one with the orange and peach too! If I could only have one perfume for the rest of my life *IMAGINE THE HORROR* this would (probably) be it! No signature scent for me as yet but this is a close contender!

Daniela_Beatriz

To me smells just like a creamsicle. Sweet, tart and childish. Not particularly good, but not terrible either. I would think that this would be perfect for a teenager.

checked

very simple perfume, powdery and boring

scarlett.angel

Yes Sui Dreams is back in Australia! This is the first time I've seen it in Australian stores (Chemist Warehouse) in a long time. It's being sold as part of a gift set 30ml EDT with matching body lotion. Almost sold out in some stores so be quick!

So I bought it and so far; thank god Dreams lasts longer than Anna Sui EDT; because I just love this little vanilla comfort scent! Powdery yet a little dusty which gives it an antique feel, and some faint fruits and spices. A simple yet lovely vanilla.

One for the inner child in all of us; looks so pretty on my bedside table. The cute bottle and comforting scent appeals to my inner child; symbolizing carefree days of innocence and wonder, that still lie within us all. I do wish I had a HUGE bottle of this though!

The matching body lotion is actually really good quality for a change and allows you to layer the fragrance nicely. I like to mix in a few sprays into the lotion, whilst in the palm of my hand for longer lasting scent. Even on it's own it's really nice and well fragranced; I like to use it as a hand cream before bed. I love to fall asleep to this this scent; it's just so comforting, like a magical hug ^_^

If anyone sees Dreams being sold off for cheap somewhere else, I'd definitely be interested in buying a few backups.

Sui-eet Dreams!
:)

maxi___213

I ordered a mini bottle on eBay because I had forgotten this scent and it is not available in stores.

I'm not sure about this one. The bottle gave me the impression that this would be a fresh sent and the reviews made me think of gourmand-y vanilla so I was expecting something edible, fresh, light and powdery.

It's sort of like baby oil and I sort of hated it for a while and now I totally love it. Very unique and easy to wear

celebrity89

A lighter, more wearable version of Yves Rocher Rose Ispahan, which I now regret having given away.

Brisa_Marina

The opening on me smells like baby oil. Weird, but not unpleasant. The dry down is vanilla mixed with a dusty musk. No fruit to be found and no hint of anything else. Body chemistry is a fascinating thing to contend with when it comes to scents.

smellingtheroses7

I first discovered this little treasure while living in Seoul, Korea... I'll forever associate this with fun, cozy, dreamy times. The smell is extremely sweet on me, but it's very comforting, like a hug from a fantasy world that makes your dreams come true. I usually only wear this now on days that I'm feeling thoughtful and reflective, as it seems to encourage very positive inward thinking.:)

eryne1380

I started using Sui Dreams when it was launched in 2000 and I'm still using it up until today. It's my signature smell that I keep going back to even though I've tried others just for a change.
I love the powdery vanilla smells even though I have to admit what first drawn me in was the beautiful blue color liquid. I love anything blue back then! The dreamlike quality and soft smelling just mix beautifully with my chemistry. It was my then boyfriend favourite smell on me and still are after 16 years of being together ( married for 8 years now).
Also notice that it also triggers some dusty sweet vanilla smells that i equates with something vintage..but not in a old lady kinda smell.
Been trying to stock them up and hope they will not be discontinue..ever! It smells as sweet, soft and sexy. .just like what you always wanted in a dreams..
I'm 34 now and still in love with it as the first time I smell it 14 years ago..

Kristina25

This was the first perfume I chose for its scent rather than its bottle or its brand (yes, I was guilty of those things when I was in my teens.) I bought it on my sixteenth birthday with the money from my Saturday job and I remember feeling so grown up! So of course this has a special significance to me.

It's a lovely fragrance, a musky vanilla, soft and happy with gorgeous hints of nutmeg. Oddly, the blue juice seems to really suit the scent, even though the notes suggest a more golden colour would be more apt. On me, it's not a powdery scent like other reviewers have said, but of course every scent is different on every wrist.

It's sillage radiates at about a foot or two from the wearer and its lasting power is average on skin but spray it on a scarf and you can smell it all day.

Overall, it's a very pretty oriental vanilla with a perfect balance of sweetness. It's very soft and wearable and I think it's an ideal fragrance for women in their late teens who do not want to smell fruity or sickly-sweet. Mind you, saying that, it could easily suit women of any age with a youthful, laid back personality.

Velvet_Touch

I recommend this fragrance to all women, mostly 20-25 yrs old. I like the bottle, the blue color and its floral fruity notes. I recently bought it from Strawberrrynet, at a great price!

Psyche

YES children, it's back! I did a double take so hard when I saw this at Chemist Warehouse that I very nearly gave myself whiplash!! I embarrassingly even gushed about how happy I was to see it to the ladies working there...*sigh* this is what perfumes do to a girl! Lol. I love this scent so, so much, it just is so comforting and lovely and dreamy!

Lavallectra

This was one of my favourite perfumes when I was a teen. I still like it, but my skin chemistry has changed in the last decade... now instead of smelling fruits, the dominant note I smell is nutmeg... and vanilla, musk and a little anise, but no fruits at all really. Just a sweet vanilla nutmeg scent that smells like cookies :P

blakbarbee

No need to fret ladies....If ever you wish to relive a fragrance all u have to do is simply visit Ebay, they are a God send....they sell authentic discontinued items all day everyday! It's the absolute best! I have a full bottle of this timeless fragrance & keep it in stock, it's heavenly!!! Enjoy~

cnidaria

Been wearing this for years, is a very sweet vanilla scent. I don't know if it is for the color of the juice but this perfume have always remind me of winter, cold winter days, and yes.. is a little synthetic, but that's never been an issue for me. The anise stands out a lot and I love it, I don't get the peach nor the mandarin. I still think this is a very unique scent, so far I've never smelled anything similar to Sui dreams.

rhaineclayton

I found this in Chemist Warehouse (Australia) for $27! I used to wear this years ago when it first came out and loved it then too. It's rare for me to buy a fragrance more than once (I prefer to discover new ones) but I'm so glad I did. I have never smelt anything else like it. Suitable for all year round. An original fragrance - definately not your typical/generic vanilla.

Update: I think it's time I confessed my undying love for this baby! I bought my third bottle today (unheard of for me!). I would even consider this for a signature if it were easier to find. Might need to stock up on a couple of more bottles while it's on sale!

[email protected]

hu..hu.. I love this fragrance why discontinue ?? the smell turn so soft but long lasting really love this fragrance

kismetdaisy

I' tried Burberry Brit based off reviews here saying they're similar and wow. They couldn't be any more different IMO. I still think Sui Dreams is such an original, unique frag, uncomparable to any other. I will always love this frag..

Warleyflower

Bake well tarts!!!! Mmmm love this so much.

Zaleska

I have a bottle of this for more than 10 years. And, for my surprise, it's still working.
Sui Dreams is coming back to my official collection! :)

Kimmy89

When I was about 17 I bought Fizzy by Alyssa Ashley, and then a few years later I was given this as a gift and even though it isn't that similar to Fizzy (which is alot more citrussy) it did remind me of it. It does have some of the same notes though.
Sui Dreams will always be in my top 5 favourite fragrances, and even though it hasn't been discontinued YET in the UK, I know that it will soon. :(
Gorgeous scent, and very unique.

EmilyTheStrange

Heartbroken that this one is being discontinued :( Absolutely love this perfume. So sweet, so fresh, so feminine...and it lasts for AGES on my skin. I know a lot of women choose this as a Summer scent but this is actually one of my favourite Winter scents. The bottle design is what originally captivated me all those years ago but the scent itself was what kept me coming back. Very sad to be seeing it go to be honest...will have to grab one last bottle in the near future and make it last.

hyacinth266

This perfume introduced me to the smell of Vanilla and made me realize that Vanilla is my cup of tea. However, this perfume is too outgoing and a bit flirty to me. I prefer something more elegant.

HLVTCA09

very soft creamy vanilla.. not sweet t all! i love it for summer! My mom used to work at a department store and i had loads of samples to play with as a child and this one just stuck in my head. about i year ago i found my little box of samples on top of my moms wardrobe and i found this again!
i searched online and bought it right away! idk about the packaging as it looks like a kids perfume

nimiel22

I LOVE this perfume. My father gave this to me for Christmas when I was in high school, so it brings back fond memories. After not being able to find it anywhere, I am happy to report that it has not been discontinued and can be purchased on the Anna Sui website. I even wrote them asking if it is here for a limited time, to which they told me that they just had distribution/production issues, but it has not and will not be discontinued, and I should see production increase. YAY!
Now on to the delightful heavenly smell: It's bright and juicy with an underlying creaminess. Cool and warm at the same time. I can really smell the cool crisp peaches swimming in vanilla cream. Did I mention that I love it?!

Kimmy89

I am deeply saddened that this perfume is being discontinued. Bought my last lil handbag bottle yesterday. Such a shame. Nice citrus/vanilla scent that I will forever love.

Sui Dreams, I love you so much. Thank you for being here with my through all the years. ... I'll just have to keep you in my vault forever by stock piling bottles! This is my favorite fragrance ever, and I don't think that will ever change. It is my signature scent, and people always tell me how good I smell. Someone said that Sui Dreams is ordinary and smells like a lot of other perfumes-- I didn't understand that at all! I have never smelled such a unique perfume until this one. Yes, there's plenty of very unusual fragrances out there, but this one is so different, and you won't run into another person wearing it. You'll be the one and only. You won't smell this in the air in the mall, or on the street as you pass by... You may smell it in one place, only one time, from that one girl out of thousands of girls that is wearing it.. Like me ;) It always reminded me of winter. i have the fondest memories w/it.. It doesn't last as long as some out there, but if you spray it in your hair, it will stay there until your next wash!

It is so sweet and vanilla-y, and the thing i love most is the nut-meg..I really smell the nutmeg, so delicious. Also, its very powdery, and as previous reviewers said--thr vanilla is dusty, antique like. not your typical vanilla. i dont get all the fruits and florals other ppl do in dreams. all of it, along w/citrus, sandalwood and cedarwood --Such a beautiful blend. It reminds me of all things white and lacey. I am so, so sad that this is discontinued..so for anyone that has been thinking of trying it, now is your time, as it will soon be gone! It's kind of sad seeing all the bad reviews on this. I'm kinda surprised, as everyone else I knew loved this stuff .. Oh well. Oh, and this is too lovely to be compared to cakes or frosting. I even find it has a slight warm spicy, or maybe that's jus the nutmeg. But if you want to try it, don't let these reviews discourage you. It's so dreamy;)

Sui Dreams reminds me of a lighter version of Armani Code for Women. Both have noticeable vanilla and orange notes.

This is definitely not the "best" fragrance out there, nor is it anywhere near the greats, but it's nice. It makes me think of curling up in a cute warm sweater on a winter evening with the snow outside. I just had a little sample, but I could see myself buying a small bottle and wearing it on occasions like that.

It's definitely sweet though. Much as I love heavier fragrances, this one is better if used sparingly and enjoyed close to the skin.

This gorgeous perfume reminds me in a rather amazing night with lets just say ,a guy who I'd been attracted to.He took a deep breath in and said "you smell,a.m.a.z.i.n.g " it was a moment I won't ever forget.I purchased this again a couple years later and I couldn't shake the nostalgia surrounding it,and since I'm now happily married to my wonderful hubby,so felt guilty reminiscing about that night...... Anyway, back to Dreams,it's playful, sweet, gorgeously feminine and totally wearable, had many many compliments on this.I miss this fragrance!!

acavicchi

This is one of those perfumes that I almost love but end up hating (it's weird, I guess, but there are a lot of those for me). The fruitiness, florals and vanilla that it begins with make me think I could wear it, but then that nutmeg and musk combo kicks in and suddenly I feel sick to my stomach. I'm not sure why, but a lot of Anna Sui's perfumes (except Secret Wish) do this to me: they pull me in for a little while but before too long, I end up running away...

rubianeko

It's an absolutely pretty vanilla. A fresh orange opening with a warm vanilla. Not too clear, not too dark, just pretty enough.
Top notes don't last long but the vanilla does. Sui Dreams can easily be mistaken with other perfumes (happened few times already) so I wouldn't call it outstandingly unique but still particular and memorable. It's sweet, it's heart warming, it's sleep inducing, it's "oh you smell sooo gooood" comments inducing, it makes people happy - I love it.

And it's surprisingly long lasting for a Anna Sui!

Also someone compared it to Brit and although Brit has pear notes, I agree they're alike :) Brit's vanilla might be a little darker than Anna Sui.

You can also wear it in warmer weather. Everyone seems to love it regardless of the weather!

Warleyflower

I loved this when I was younger, it just smells of Bakewell tarts :)

bladesabre

I used to wear this all the time when I was younger (early twenties) and loved the dry down as it reminded me of rhubarb and custard sweets!

Deajessi

I love this! Smells good! I love vanilla!

mimi88

vanilla vanilla vanilla! this is vanilla extract in a bottle - all i can smell. but this vanilla is in a nice sensual way not overhelming and making sick. but there is one thing i dont like about this one - a blue colour of the perfume it looks so unnatural

Spitzasavilaa

just when i imagine it as a sweet - fresh - vanilla 4 a newbie, it gave me lik'a very-very oriental vanilla, than powdery also -_-

mm i'd love to look at the bottle when it shine under the lightspot, a clear blue but inside just .. unexpected.
At all ~ it was my first buying an 80ml-ori perfume for online and enough happy to keep it ^.-

VyxenBlack

So sad this is gone, It was in my opinion the BEST of the Anna Sui scents..I find the rest to all be rather boring and same-ish to each other and other brands.

Bebe70

Vanilla and blue color. They don't match together!
When I see blue, I expect something clean and fresh and Sui Dreams is whatever else but this.

PlunketNurse

Quite a weird experience really, think i ve met my first olfactory-blind perfume. I detect nothing at all...absolutely nothing except a barely dose dose of cedar which i was certain had some vanilla to it but i just cant smell it.
And there i was sulking and fuming at being sold a 'bad perfume' or so i thought until someone else decided they "love the perfume so much"

So in truth im disappointed after the raving reviews and exciting search for a discontinued item.

Stellanboll

I absolutely adore this one!

almond-papaya

hmm.. A hint of sweetness about this perfume, kinda powdery on wear down. Not what I expected t.b.h. was expecting something more exotic.

It's an 'ok' perfume, on first sniff though it is lovely but it doesn't stick it kinda got me excited when I first sprayed it so was dissapointed that it didnt stay that way.

Just average really...

Erika2

For years my favourite and still one of my all-time favourites. I have never since recieved so many comliments for a scent as i did when i used Dreams daily. Dreams is such a apropriate name, sweet and descrete and still fully an adult scent all the way. I have to add VERY sexy also!

CandyCat

This is my favourite scent of all time.

I discovered it by accident, I was looking after a friends scarf for them and put it in my handbag, later that evening when I pulled the scarf out to give it her back, it was all I could smell, this stunning scent I had to know what it was, She told me it was this Sui dreams, I went looking for it and finally got myself some,
I think it'll always be a fragerance that i'll always have without fail :)

Psyche

If you adore Sui Dreams but are looking for an alternative (because it's discontinued), PLEASE check out Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson. Just received my bottle today and I am head over heels, it reminds me that much of Sui Dreams, which I consider my signature scent. :)!!!

janmcm

I loved this very sweet perfume and always got comments about how I smelled like sweeties when I wore it!
And the little handbag bottle was so cute.
It didn't seem heavy at all on me.

bunnyunderbelly

I made the mistake of buying a bottle of this after just sniffing the bottle in the shop. I usually love strong sweet smells but this was cloying on me - and I couldn't find a time for it - it's too sickly for daytime but doesn't feel like a night-time perfume either. I have to say it lasted, it would keep coming back up to me in waves, but it was just too much, something in it made the back of my throat tingle.

Argh! Lesson learned - test something on your skin before buying the whole thing! It must have just not suited me; nobody ever asked what I was wearing!

xoxdarkstarrxox

I received this perfume as a gift, and it is one of my favorites. There is something so feminine and innocent about this scent. It makes me feel so girly and delicious. Not at all overpowering, it's actually very delicate.

The only complaint I have is that the scent doesn't seem to last very long on me. I'm not sure, but I heard that if you don't notice the scent of a perfume, it means that it is suited to you. I have had many compliments on this scent, and am very sad to hear it is discontinued. :(

Psyche

I cannot express in words how much I adore this perfume. I first fell in love years and years ago and have coveted it since then. My love has not waned, and it makes me terribly sad that it's discontinued. I wonder if harassing Anna Sui will convince her to relaunch it?

The first time I smelled Sui Dreams I felt like home....such a familiar smell, and then I realised that it smells a lot like my own natural scent to me. It blends into my scent seamlessly and lingers for quite a long while. Then again, I can't usually handle very strong perfumes as they easily overwhelm my softer natural scent.

I adore cedar wood, and am not surprised to find that it's a base note here. I love that there is a sweetness but tartness to it, and in some ways it reminds me of the comfort I feel when I smell Believe by Britney Spears (though Believe is more punchy and exotic/spicy). I will be gladly willing to do trades or buy bottles odd of anybody....must hoard! :)

MissH

Fit for a fairy!

A playful, oriental vanilla, that'll leave you warm and fuzzy. It's for all of us who liked dressing up as a child & still do.

There's a charming innocence that appeals to our inner child. A light linger of vanilla, bitter orange & nutmeg. It's soft, scrumptious & far from pretentious.

tschiepchen

I bought Anna Sui because I remembered it as dark blue, aquatic and fresh.
But then I realized I had mixed it up with Puig's Thais and was rather disappointed.
Dreams basically smells like dusty, blue vanilla.
It is very sweet - like hard candy.
I use the matching body lotion but Dreams has almost no staying power at all.
Sometimes I wear Dreams after my evening shower or bath though as my husband loves vanilla scents.

TankGirl

I tested this perfume today and I think its a funny fragrance. I hate the top notes because they are too heavy and too sweet, but the dry down is nice, warm, powdery and less sweet. I think its better for teenagers, because a women will smell "silly" with this stuff, do you know what I mean? If you are a fan of britney perfumes, go on, the long lasting is better than britney's and they have the same type of smell that you find in BS perfumes.

beautyinthemundane

I really rather like this and think that, as Anna Sui perfumes go, this one is quite superior to the other super-sweet and rather girly-childish scents she's created.
Yes, it's very heavy on the vanilla, which could explain so many people smelling 'cake', but it's far too fresh to be as dense as cake suggests. It is very youthful & unsophisticated like all the Sui fragrances, but it also works on a mature woman as a sweetly fresh and casual daytime scent.
The name is well chosen too- it's as light and carefree as a pleasant dream and as warm and cosy as the bed you dream in. Very nice indeed.

Vanilla77

This is a beautiful fragrance. I love presence of vanilla. It kind of smells like icecream sprinkles. It is sweet but light-hearted.

Winterlaurel

Beautiful fragrance, but it smells like a combination of cake and powder. SO. MUCH. POWDER. In the end, the powdery notes were a bit too much for me.

sugarplumjabba

I remember when this came out in 2000, couldn't find it ANYWHERE at all, then when I FINALLY smelled it, I was IN LOVE !!! I received this as a graduation/getting into college present. I got hte 100 ml bottle and went through the whole bottle, but by the end of it, I was just done with the perfume. I've smelled it a few times since and it's just been unremarkable for me. Very similar to others out there and just doesn't do it for me.

Sharen

i like the scent, it smell like vanilla favor ice cream, but it's not long lasting to me.

JML LEE

i love ana sui perfumes but the smell doesnt last very long i get about 2 hours from them and then the smell is compleatly gone

Oh Sugar

I don't get any of this chemical vanilla, to me it smells very plesant, creamy and dreamy. Like someone has mentinoned before, the scent resembles a birthday cake. It's sweet without being too heavy and the bottle - isn't it just adorable? Like a cute little purse for a doll.

LenaBel

I vote 'no' for this one. I love vanilla but it smells very synthetic, syrupy and actually even a bit sickening to me in this composition. I dont detect any deepness or originality in Sui Dreams and it also smells quite cheap to me. Lower than average oriental vanilla, maybe suitable for young teens

piazza dei signori

Adorable scent. Even my mom loved it and asked me to buy it for her again. Breezy, soft, like a warm -not hot- wind, i absolutely love peony, a scent like a caress suitable for a young girl, a grandmother and all ages in between. Elegant. 12.02

daisy_swayze

I wore this fragrance for a few years and it brings back lots of memories!
I think it's a great fragrance for a teenage girl, like it was for me as it's sweet without being too sweet.
Lovely and warm.

missk

I love vanilla in most fragrances, however in Sui Dreams I can't help feeling as if they've made the vanilla too syrupy and sugary sweet.

The opening was rather disappointing with the vanilla and fruits creating a cheap and synthetic mix. It has an almost soapy quality to it which doesn't seem to work well as a perfume.

As might be expected, this is a rather girly fragrance, most likely aimed at young consumers.

In the pictures the bottle looks quite pretty, however in real-life the bottle is cheap, plastic and tacky. The blue juice also stains clothes.

I don't know of anyone that wears Sui Dreams, but in my personal opinion this is light enough and childish enough to be worn by young girls.

Must say that I'm disappointed that such a high price tag has been placed on such a cheap smelling fragrance. Certainly not something that I would personally buy.

kastehelmi

This smells like sugar cookies-not what I opt to smell like. I don't dislike the scent though. An absolutely young perfume, in the adolescent kind of way.

Denyze

I adore anna sui!! She's amazing with the bottle designs and even the fragrance itself! This is my ultimate favourite (unless someone can change my mind) Peony and freesia is such a great combination

wild_strawberry

Lovely bottle, but the juice isn't impressing. Boring combination of fruits and musk, too sweet, cloying, doesn't change a bit.

ViolaineViolet

I had it when i was 13 and i fell in love with it! It is a rare perfume with and exotic twist. I also love the bottle, i can buy a perfume just for the bottle but i bought this one because it was hypnotizing, throughh the time of using the perfume it smells diferent but not bad i think it happens with every perfume, the problem is not the perfume, is the nose.

xlola101

You can definitely smell the flowers but I can't really smell any cakes:
I love this perfume-it has been a personal favourite since I was about 13

Michii_<3

Sui Dreams is a deliciously sweet fragrance, the sweetness of iced vanilla cookies, sugar diamonds and victoria sponge cake...its like a summer tea party with pink rose teacups, soft cupcakes with light blue frosting and a gentle breeze in the air carrying the sweet aroma around the garden..it really is a heavenly dream in a beautiful, unique bottle..this has been my favourite since I was 13 and now at 18 I still absolutely adore it, its one of the rare fragrances that makes me smile :) and I must say even though certain people love to be insulting about fragrances even though they know theres bond to be women who love them, I'm GLAD because it means its a rare, unique fragrance thats not widely worn, who'd want to be one of the "in" crowd anyway :)

Aalia

I was very curious about this perfume, I just love creative, novel, and surprising scents. The first application- I felt it could be keen and delightful. I liked the sharp and spicy opening notes, I liked the strong floral heart, even with itś overwhelming peony and freesia combination. The drydown, being all vanilla, accented by sandalwood and musk was just fine by me-a classic finish. I thought the perfume very light, so, I dabbed a few more drops. The second application presented deadened notes. The lively mix turned sour and putrid. Ideas of floral floor cleaner, toilet bowl hangers, bathroom disenfectants, fabric softener, and hospital sanitation sprays- all attacking a cheap synthetic vanilla body spray danced in my mind. The second application brought about frightening thoughts of Madness or GucciRush 2---gone horribly wrong! For sure, Dreams does not resemble those perfumes in notes or fragrance- but in philosophy of style and clever twists. Curiosity killed this cat...the back of my throat is burning like when I scrub the shower tile with bleach.... ..not all surprises are good...Dreams brings on nightmares!

Lia

I like it: soft, warm and not too overpowering. You can wear it in summer, but also in winter - perfect.

Amanda79

Light, sweet and nice. Good for hot or cold weather. Tahitian vanilla and chinese peony stand out to me.

sjanira

Wow! it just came to me, I finally know what this fragrance reminds me of. Burberry Brit, it's almost identical to it. So if you like Brit then you'll love this one.

sjanira

Nice warm, sweet scent but it does remind me of another fragrance. It's killing me cause I can't think of which one right now but it'll come to me. Anyway the bottle is cute as can be and the and the smell is great, very comforting. It's a gentle relaxing scent, very vanilla. The peach mixed with the vanilla make it very soft, milky even. At the end it gives a very light touch of anise. Not overwhelming at all, in fact, I wish it had more of it. This is not a spicy scent like others might think. Yes, there's some spicy notes but there all barely there. Just giving the perfume a touch of every note without being overwhelming.

scenthound

Sui Dreams is a soft warm scent, sweet but not cloying. Even in hot, humid weather, it doesn't turn on you like some florals can. Perfect for the office or anywhere where you don't want your perfume to intrude on other people's space (ie: cinema, restaurant).

Aeternitas

When I smelled this stuff in the shop today, it smelled so familiar. I kept thinking and thinking and then it came to me... pink cake frosting! It smells like a birthday cake to me, I wanted to eat it :) Although it smells delicious, I would not want to wear it. Too much like food.
