Debi Enker The Age (Australia) Directed by Lisa Bryant, it eschews a sensational tone as it quietly, clinically constructs its portrait. Jun 16, 2020 Full Review Michael Idato Sydney Morning Herald The victims' accounts are genuinely affecting, slowly creating a sickening mosaic of what is at one point likened to a sexual pyramid scheme, a disturbing structure in which victims are ultimately asked to recruit more victims. Jun 12, 2020 Full Review Adam Graham Detroit News There's a bigger, broader story to be told about Epstein, his web of secrets, the network of the rich and powerful and the ways that money corrupts. That will be a knockout. For now, "Filthy Rich" is a good start. Rated: B May 29, 2020 Full Review Victor Pineyro Seventh Art Studio It seems the events are too recent for the documentary to do an excruciating journalistic job. But it serves as a much needed platform for the victims. These types of documentaries make everything unsurprising. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 7/10 Feb 24, 2021 Full Review Bob Chipman Escapist Magazine The question of how it happened is probably a lot less important than the fact that it denied full and complete justice to his still unknown total number of victims and the survivors who were already brave enough to come forward Rated: 7/10 Jul 25, 2020 Full Review Tom Meek Cambridge Day They tell their stories boldly and more, but what truly resonates throughout the four-part documentary is the complicity of government agencies and officials... Johnny W As one of many who have reviewed this four-part documentary, I want to share my honest opinion on how worthwhile and engaging it is to watch. Netflix is adept at producing documentaries, and this one is no exception. I believe it is essential viewing, particularly for those living in the US. It's not an enjoyable watch as it involves discussions of sexual offenses and victim interviews, but it serves as a stark reminder of the dark side of the society we inhabit. The documentary is a sobering reminder of how wealth and powerful connections can be used to obstruct justice and indulge in depraved desires without fear of repercussions. It leaves one pondering how many other individuals like Epstein are operating under the radar. The sheer number of high-profile individuals, including businessmen, politicians, and celebrities, who visited Epstein's island and engaged in illegal activities with underage girls is deeply disturbing. It is equally frustrating to consider that Epstein died without facing the consequences of his actions. Overall, I believe the documentary delivers on its promise of being a ‘jaw-dropping' experience. Unless you are easily triggered or offended, I recommend watching all four parts to gain insight into the reality of the situation. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/13/23 Full Review Dustin D I appreciated the focus on the survivors. It helped me to understand how horrible his crimes truly were and how creepy he was. However, I found it unsatisfying. The filmmakers didn't dig sufficiently into where his wealth came from. His early ponzi scheme and management one billionaire's money would only account for a fraction of his wealth. Also, they didn't ask too many questions about his "suicide," only acknowledging the conspiracy theories aren't totally unfounded. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/15/23 Full Review cem y A powerful series with narratives of young women that are hard to listen and imagine. A documentary that should be watched although directorially it is not a very good product. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a serviceable documentary, at its best chilling, moving and surprising, giving voice to victims as it should be. However, most of the time it feels rather restricted narratively and directorially and doesn't get to the deeper questions. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Landon J Powerful, insightful and an incredibly interesting unique case. It does a good job showing how it went down and survivor impact Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/10/21 Full Review Audience Member This show about Epstein goes really in depth about his horrible crimes, which is really interesting. Not great, but pretty good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
