Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced their highly anticipated tour dates and are including Reading's Madejski Stadium for a one-off concert.

Anthony Kiedis, Michael Balzary (better known as Flea), John Frusciante and Chad Smith last played in England to more than 430,000 fans including three amazing sell out shows in Hyde Park in June 2004.

To coincide with this tour the band release a new album Stadium Arcadium, out in May on Warner Bros Records.

Demand is sure to be high for these phenomenal shows, so you’re advised to buy tickets early.

Formed in 1983, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a Californian Los Angeles-based band birthed from the funk rock / rapcore movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Peppers have gone on to further diversify their sound adding elements of ska, jazz, psychedelia, and blues to their songwriting.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have eight studio albums (nine when Stadium Arcadium is released), eight number one modern rock hits, and sold nearly 50 million copies of their albums worldwide.

Originally signed to a record deal by EMI in 1983, they switched to Warner Brothers Records in 1991 and they have been with them since.
