感謝祭

感謝祭（かんしゃさい）またはサンクスギビング（英語: Thanksgiving Day）とは、アメリカ合衆国やカナダなどで祝われる祝日のひとつ。Thanksgiving と略称されたり、あるいは七面鳥の日（Turkey Day）と呼んだりもする[1]。アメリカでは毎年11月の第4木曜日、カナダでは毎年10月の第2月曜日になっている。日本のプロテスタントでは、収穫感謝日（しゅうかくかんしゃび）と呼ぶ。日本で当日はこのために割り当てられた祝日は無いが、本項で説明する行為が行われる場合もある。
