Following the success of her viral hit “Padam Padam,” Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue has dropped the title track from her forthcoming album, Tension. It’s the third track to be released from the album (a collaboration with “future house” DJ and producer Oliver Heldens, “10 Out of 10,” dropped earlier this year).

“Tension,” which sound like it could have been lifted from Minogue’s eclectic 2008 effort X, is the most forward-minded track on the new album. The electro-pop song begins with ’90s house-style keyboards and a propulsive dance beat before pivoting toward something more leftfield, though no less infectious.

The singer’s stuttering, processed vocal hook is what an AI might sound like being brought to a heady, simulated climax: “Oh, my god/Touch me right there/Almost there, touch me right there.” While the track is unlikely to match the proverbial peak of “Padam Padam,” it should keep fans’ BPMs elevated until Tension drops on September 22nd.
