New figures show Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is the seventh highest-paid leader in the world.
Financial news company 24/7 Wall Street analysed publicly available annual compensation figures to rank the top earners.

At the top of the list is Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of Singapore. He earns the equivalent of NZ$2,407,255.
He's followed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Carrie Lam, and President of the Swiss Confederation, Ueli Maurer.
At fourth place is US President Donald Trump, who earns NZ$598,000 a year. He's followed by Scott Morrison, the Prime Minister of Australia, and Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany.
At seventh place is Ardern, who earns NZ$471,049 per year. This also makes her the fifth highest-paid leader in all the OECD countries.
In 2017, Statistics New Zealand reported New Zealanders were earning an average of $50,000 in salaries and wages, meaning the Prime Minister earns nearly 10 times as much as the average Kiwi.
It's also around 2.7 times above the optimal earnings point that makes individuals happy.
Research from Purdue University in West Lafayette found the "optimal" New Zealand salary is $171,000, according to news.com.au.
The study found that once the threshold was reached, further increases in income tended to be associated with reduced life satisfaction and a lower level of wellbeing.
