While Lady Gaga has performed her latest “ARTPOP” single “Do What U Want” by herself on the U.K. “X Factor” and during her “artRAVE” showcase on Sunday night (Nov. 10), the singer has yet to duet with the song’s guest star, R. Kelly. That will apparently change on Nov. 24, when Gaga takes the stage with the pied piper of R&B to perform the slithering soul track at the 2013 American Music Awards.
Gaga let the news slip to Music Choice on the self-constructed red carpet at “artRAVE” on Sunday evening. “R. Kelly will be there — oh, I’m not supposed to say that,” Gaga said. “Oh, I said it anyway. Oh well. Sorry Robert!”
The pop star continued, “We’re gonna perform ‘Do What U Want With My Body,’ and we have a great chemistry when we perform together. And he’s so amazing, and I’m just looking forward to hitting the stage again.”

“Do What U Want,” which follows “Applause” as the second single from “ARTPOP,” debuted at No. 13 on the Hot 100 chart before slipping to No. 58 last week. Gaga may also perform the track on “Saturday Night Live” this Saturday (Nov. 16), when she performs for the third time and makes her debut as an “SNL” host.
The American Music Awards, taking place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, boasts a lineup that also includes Justin Timberlake, One Direction, Florida Georgia Line, Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, among others. Pitbull will host the ceremony and perform his new single “Timber” with Ke$ha.
