Holiday period sees 157,000 travelers pay a visit to Da Nang |
This boost is attributable to the increase in international flights put on by Vietnamese airlines designed to meet the growing demand for travel during the holiday period. Flights were increased on five routes, including from Busan, Cheongju, Gaosyong, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai, contributing to the increased number of foreign tourists visiting the city, in addition to creating favourable conditions for local people who wish to travel abroad.
From August 31 to September 2, Danang welcomed 190 international flights, bringing with them a total of 30,140 foreigners to the city, up 18.1 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Despite the unfavourable weather conditions that hit the city during the break, popular tourist spots throughout Danang still received 124,000 tourists during the national holiday.
