  • Enter a single word with no spaces or accented characters and press the "Search" button to query Webster's Dictionary.
  • By default, your word must exactly match the dictionary word. In float mode, your word may match any substring of a dictionary word. In default mode, power will only match the word "power", whereas in float mode, it will match "power", "powerful", "empowered", etc.
  • Full regular expressions are supported in both default and float mode. .* is a wildcard which will match any number of any character. For example, entering r.*cket will match "racket" or "rocket". Try ^[c-r].*[a-z]pple$ and compare with ^[c-r].pple$ .
