Brazilian legend Ronaldo has urged Neymar to move to Europe in order to further his career, as Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly pursue the Santos star.

Ronaldo left Brazil for Europe as a teenager when he joined PSV Eindhoven in 1994, and Neymar looks set to switch continents in the not too distant future, with Barcelona reportedly set to beat Chelsea and Manchester United to his signature.

According to reports in Spain, Barcelona will defeat Chelsea and Manchester United after downpayment was made to Santos by the Camp Nou club, while Neymar has expressed a desire to play alongside Lionel Messi.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar had pleaded with his compatriot to move to Stamford Bridge, while Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was linked with a bid for Neymar on transfer deadline day.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, says the 20-year-old has the ability to surpass Barcelona star Messi to become the best player in the world, but must move to Europe in order to fulfil his potential.

"I would advise Neymar to come to Europe as soon as possible, where he would be the best in the world," Ronaldo said at the Leaders in Football event held at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge.

"Logically, Messi is better right now but Neymar is a great talent who will show the world that he will be number one.

"I advise him [Neymar] to go as soon as possible because to be number one you have to go to Europe."
