| Introduction |
The Evergreen Maritime Museum, covering 9,000-square-meter, is located in the first five floors of Chang Yung-Fa Foundation (CYFF) Building. The establishment of a maritime museum has been a lifelong wish of Dr. Y.F. Chang. To help realize this vision, Dr. Chang has donated more than 4,500 maritime objects collected in the past 30 years throughout the world, including various model ships, marine paintings, and nautical instruments. The museum makes an ideal destination for school trips, giving unique insights into the world of shipping and maritime science.
The goal of the museum is to disseminate maritime knowledge as well as to preserve Taiwanese maritime culture. The Museum also plans to acquire support from maritime societies and academic organizations, there will be cooperation with famous maritime museums in the world, through integrating all resources to enrich the Museum’s content and fully fulfill its functions. |
