JB Celebrates Her 62 Birthday In Private

Joyce Banda’s birthday came at the right time as she is also celebrating her first week as the president of the republic of Malawi.

Madame president, Mrs. Banda was born on 12 april, 1950 in Zomba and today she celebrated her 62 birthday.

According to information made available to Malawi voice the president celebrated the special day with family and friends in private as this week the country is also mourning the death of the president.

Mrs Banda made it clear that as a county it needs to show respect to the homer leader and she is leading by example.

Mrs Banda who is the first Malawian female president and second in the african continent spent the day also doing some government work and sworn in the new information minister Moses Kunkuyu.

She advised Kunkuyu to be honest with the Malawian public unlike his predecessor Akweni Kaliati who she fired recently.

”I want from now onwards, my minister of information to be telling nothing but the truth. We judge governments by what come out of its mouth.” She said

“I am also expecting my minister of information not to be taking Malawians for granted. Malawians are very intelligent people who know exactly what to expect of their government.” President Banda said.
