	Purpose of Establishment
・	To raise the level of competition of soccer in Hiroshima, to reestablish "Hiroshima, the Soccer Kingdom".
・	To contribute to a regional consciousness by promoting exchange between regions and individuals.
・	To contribute to the creation of a sports culture within the Chugoku region comprising Okayama, Hiroshima, Shimane, Tottori, and Yamaguchi.
	Origins
	"Sanfrecce" is a fusion of Japanese and Italian and means "three arrows". This name was drawn from the old story "The Three Arrows" which tells of the Sengoku General, Morimotonari. It has deep roots with Hiroshima, and it was chosen to reflect that the Hiroshima Professional Football Team is supported by the triumvirate of Hiroshima's people, government, and commerce. The meaning of "The Three Arrows" is also connected with the three key elements of team sports, "skill, strategy, and strength," as well as the three principles indispensible to any athlete, "mind, skill, and body." Based on the above, and on our hopes that the Hiroshima Professional Football Team make its mark on the world, we decided to call oursleves "Sanfrecce Hiroshima".
