Please visit and learn about the history of Caldwell, Idaho and enjoy glimpses of life in days gone by. The museum building is a 1950’s medical office of a former local physician Dr. John Finck. The museum itself was founded by Dr. Archie and Opal Gulley who shared space in the building for years with a dental practice. In 2006 the Canyon County Historical Society accepted stewardship and the museum presently holds 30 different exhibits that are housed in the many former examination rooms and labs. Exhibits are added and updated regularly to surprise our visitors with a step back in time.

Our enthusiastic tour guides will show the rooms to guests and share the rich history of Canyon County. Special tours are by appointment only with at least one week in advance. If you are curious about specific information, let us know. The museum also houses archives of Canyon County history with newspaper clippings and books. We have ramps that are wheelchair accessible and have wheelchairs located in the museum for availability for the tour use.
