I know, but I moved from riding bikes to flying and it is a great move. All
riders without a fear of heights I know that flew with me thought it was
grouse- and there are no coppers or speed limits up there. Someone out there
might be interested?

Why? Anyone who goes to hang out on aus.aviation already has
their own plane...

Last time I cleaned out my garage, there were six bikes (one
pristine, one functioning shitbox, one in mothballs, one in
pieces, one incomplete and one abstract sculpture)
temporarily camped out around the lawn while I swept out the
floor 'n' shit.

Guy comes walking past,
"Hey, mate, I've got a CR125. You wanna buy it?"

Two possibilities there... the guy was either a fencepost or
remarkably attuned to the way the psyche of a motorcyclist
works.

There are a surprising number of ultralight flyers who ride bikes in my
experience.

Oh an no... I'm not interested, I don't do 2 strokes in planes.... *grin*

A mate put one on his. Cut the boom back to get the balance right. Propeller
spins 6" from your toes. Engine pipes only - sounds like a warbird and pulls
like one too. It would be good........

Not on a graduate student's income, alas... and, if you
wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it if you'd not further poke
me in this particular unufulfilled-dream raw nerve...

> Im not getting rid of the two bikes though ;)

I'm down to two, as well. I've got about two months to get
another, or I'll set a new record for the longest period
without new addition to the garage.

Pretty much, actually. A while ago now, I took up a flight
school on their offer of a cheap-arse introductory flight,
where they take you up in a little Cessna 152 and let you
take the controls... bad idea...
