How many people think this little traitor should simply be written of the show
and how many think she should die a terrible, terrible death?

(I still think Mulder should have just shot her in the parking lot and went to
the hospital with Scully, but I guess we can't have everything.)

Traitor, I don't think so. You obviously missed the acknowledgment
between Diana and Mulder when she drew the gun at him. You can
actually see Mulders expression signifying that he knew she was just
doing that for appearance sake so it looks like she's still on Spender
and/or CSMs side.

It's way too early to know if she's a traitor or not. We've seen her twice. It's
hard to judge someone after just two brief appearances.

But, if she is a traitor then, yeah, she should die a terrible terrible death...

I agree...Dianabitch should go the way of the bee. She's already done enough
stinging, it's now time for her to die. Heh, heh heh. <eg>

Yes..i think that she should die.....but it worries me that she got well so
quickly....Do you think that the Bounty Hunter Healing man came and healed
her??? If so, then it will be very hard to kill her.....

I just think that if she can be killed...Scully should plam her in the neck!

And where was Mulder while Dianabitch was in the hospital? By her side,
holding her hand and crying by her bedside at night? NO! He was hauling ass
to antarctica the *day after* he suffered a gunshot to the head, to save
Scully!! At least Mulder had his priorities straight in the movie... And I
think she healed so well cuz she works for the consortium, who were the ones
to shoot her.I think she aksed them to do it because she thought she could
weasel some sympathy out of Mulder. Did it work? Nooooo!!!! Bwa hahahahaha!
All of Dianabitch's plans eventually fail, so it's only a matter of
time...<g>

I disagree. She's in it up to her eyeballs. Two things make me believe this.
First of all, Gibson let her get shot. He could have easily seen that she did
not have his best interests at heart, so he set her up at the window. Her
faith in her fellow buddies at the Consortium allowed her to relax her guard,
and it nearly cost her her life.

Secondly, she's definitely not trying to protect the X-Files for Mulder. If
anything, she wants to steal them right out from under him. In that sense, she
and Spudner make a decent pair. They're both trying to undermine Mulder at
every step. At least Weasel Boy makes no bones about his hatred for Mulder,
though.

I don't think she should die a horrible death, though. Not until Mulder sees
her for what she really is, anyway.

But doing this didn't help Mulder either. It looked alot like she was covering
her own behind. Mulder still got into trouble and Diana got the X-Files.

And as a side note, who cares if she was there when Mulder discovered the
X-Files? What has she done with it lately?

Excellant point. Diana is no threat to Mulder's heart, as he obviously
didn't care about her when she was in I.C.U. as much as he cared when
Scully was in the hospital all those times. Sure, he was upset, but
not, by-her-side, holding-her-hand, crying-in-the-dark kind of scared.
I kind of like her character in that she's there to stir up trouble,
which she has. She won't last, and she won't take Mulder away from
Scully. I believe this. I bet she's dead or gone before the season is
over. I'd rather see her leave than die, because if she died, she
might be immortalized and mourned over like some fallen angel. If she
leaves because Mulder doesn't want her around, or if she leaves him
again, than she will be forgotten more quickly.

How do you know she healed "so quickly?" It could have easily been a few
months between the events in "The End" and "FTF", while it seems pretty
obvious that there is only a week or two between the events at the end of
"FTF" and the opening scene of "The Beginning".

I agree. That would be the ultimate revenge if Diana was to die at the
hands of Scully.

Ummm..think about it....she gets shot in the lung?? And she is in critical
condition......it seems to me that it would take longer than 3 months....to
heal and to go back to work in super condition..

I think that the character of Fowley serves a very important dramatic
purpose as a contrast to Scully for Mulder.

I see Mulder [and Scully, but that's for another post] as being on a
journey of enlightenment.

One lesson to be learned in life is how to figure out whether our
perceptions of reality are accurate or whether we are being sidetracked by
appearances. The X-Files, the show, is chock full of opportunities for
learning that lesson.

In the premiere episode, we saw Mulder grappling with the *appearance*
that Scully was not on his side and the *appearance* that Fowley was.

Without Scully's insistence on concrete evidence, Mulder would be in a
worse position than he is -- and he admitted as much in the hallway scene
in FTF.

Her willingness to LOOK for the evidence to back up his intuitions against
her initial resistance has demonstrated the fact that *in reality* she is
on his side.

But Fowley presents the temptation of someone who says they believe
without that kind of evidence. He is lured to believe that she is really
on his side because she does not wait for scientific evidence, when *in
reality* her support was quite questionable.

No. I don't want to off Fowley as a character.

Mulder needs to see that what he *thinks* he wants from Scully would be
dangerous for him to get. If Scully gave him what he *thinks* Fowley is
giving him, it would lead him ultimately to his demise.

With Fowley as a contrast, Mulder has been given another way to understand
just how important Scully is.

I think the inclusion of Fowley was inspired.

YMMV

I agree with you about why Diana is there. She has a purpose on the show.

But, from what I'm seeing in most of these responses, many people think the she
shouldn't be on the show anymore beacuse she is annoying.
