There is critical consensus is that the preeminent work of the series is that one depicted in the Wikipedia article The Weeping Woman. The article this image is used for is about one of those images, a series of events surroundings it and its ongoing cultural significance both in and of itself and also within a broader cultural context.

This is an artwork by Pablo Picasso (25 October 1881-8 April 1973). It would be reasonable to presume that the owner of this image is the trustees of Picasso's estate, be they natural or corporate persons; agents for that estate may also have legal and/or equitable property rights to this image. It is in the collection of the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) so one such agent and/or owner must be the NGV.
