Abstract

From the beginning, The site of the Tsukuba Exposition 1985 was planned in conversion for the industrial development after closing of the exhibition. Also pavilion buildings of the exposition were positioned as temporary space. It showed another figure as the reflection of the coming future. The running Exposition express, Science Train around the Japan before the opening of the exposion was large-scale pre-event. It was the epoch-making trial in the sense that it revealed the conversion of needless train and discontinue switchyard. The Science Train had shown the preoccupation style of flexibility design what the Exposition realized.
