Copycat, copycat, kiss the rat! (Copying our shoe designs)

We used to chant this all the time in primary school when our classmates copied our work:
"Copycat, copycat, kiss the rat!"
(Addendum: my son said must add, "Go home let your mother slap" or else no effect)

Well, people say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. I should be flattered that people are copying Cartoon Lagoon's Dare-to-wear hand painted shoe designs and passing it off as their own! But I'm not. I think it's darn shitty that supposed shoe artists need to copy other people's designs and then boldly declare themselves artists!

So THE COUPLE AT CHANGI VILLAGE FLEA MARKET, SELLING HAND-PAINTED SHOES WHICH LOOK VERY MUCH LIKE MY DESIGNS - you know who you are!!!

It's silly, you trying to change it a little bit here and there. I took one look at the shoes and knew straight away that you had copied my designs. Why? Because I'm the one who came up with those designs.

But I'm totally comforted that your drawing and painting skills suck. Even though your designs looked similar to mine, they are pathetically drawn and painted. Wait, they're not even painted. I saw you (yes, you, the lady) using some cheap markers to draw! Erm, do your colours run in the rain?

Hmmmm.... so you think maintaining a hand-painted shoe business is as simple as copying other people's designs, slapping on some paint and then passing them as your own, then you're very wrong. There's so much more involved. Good luck, then. Only time will tell.

By the way, was surprised to see fake stuff being sold so blatantly at some of the stalls!
