Macaulay Culkin, child star of "Home Alone" fame, has a Velvet Underground cover band. Not content to merely play the classics, Culkin's anti-folk group has called themselves the Pizza Underground. As the name suggests, they re-imagine the VU catalogue and other Lou Reed songs... but all of the songs are about pizza. Hear the demo above, via The Guardian.

This means we have not "I'm Waiting for the Man", but rather "I'm Waiting for Delivery Man". Not "Femme Fatale" but "Pizza Gal". The Pizza Underground dwells on sartorial choices not simply for "All Tomorrow's Parties" but "All the Pizza Parties". Culkin even offers a kazoo solo on "Take a Bite of the Wild Slice".

The demo was recorded "live at Macaulay Culkin's house on November 11, 2013", according to the Pizza Underground's Bandcamp, and the actor is credited with "percussion/kazoo/vocals". According to The Guardian, the band formed in early 2012 and recently played a Lou Reed tribute at New York's Sidewalk Cafe. Other members include Matt Colbourn, Phoebe Kreutz, Deenah Vollmer, and Austin Kilham.

The music, however, is not all—check out the Pizza Underground's Tumblr for visuals including the 1969 Velvet Underground cover remake, below.
