Hunt joined Reading on a free transfer from Brentford in 2005
Reading winger Stephen Hunt is set to sign a new contract which will end months of speculation about his future.
The Republic of Ireland international has been linked with moves to several Premier League clubs but is now set to agree a new three-and-a-half year deal.
Hunt has always insisted he is happy at the Madejski Stadium.
The 27-year-old told the club's website: "I'm determined to have a big impact in the next three months and help get this club promoted."
Hunt, who has been ever-present in Reading's Championship campaign this season, joined the Royals on a free transfer from Brentford in 2005.
He has made 156 appearances for Steve Coppel's side, scoring 21 goals, and has won 15 international caps.
