Warnock has made 88 league appearances for Blackburn
Aston Villa have completed the signing of defender Stephen Warnock from Blackburn for an undisclosed fee.
The left-back has signed a four-year contract and was paraded in front of the Villa fans before their Europa League qualifier on Thursday.
The 27-year-old moves as Villa hope to tie up a deal for centre-back Richard Dunne from Manchester City.
Warnock told the Villa website: "The main aim is pushing for that top four spot in the Premier League."
Left-back Warnock was dropped for Blackburn's defeat at Sunderland on Saturday and boss Sam Allardyce claimed the player was distracted by transfer rumours.
"The manager is buying some really talented players - young and ambitious - and I'm sure they will see that top four spot as a target and goal.
"Playing in Europe is important - playing against the top players on the continent is fantastic - and there's no better stage to do that than on the Champions League.
"If we could do that, it would be a great achievement."
Villa boss Martin O'Neill lost Martin Laursen to retirement, while left-back Wilfred Bouma has a long-term injury.
