Summary

Description

What an amazing plant this is - the common old European spindle tree (Euonymus europaeus). I'm a big fan of the foreign species - planipes, bungeanus, cornutus and especially alatus but frankly our native species is equal to any of them.

The only problem as far as I can see is that it doesn't look like anything much for the rest of the year. It's not obtrusive or ugly though so easy to hide among the other plants until it steps forward and does it's thing in September.
