Shortstop Miguel Tejada hit for the cycle and the Oakland Athletics defeated the Seattle Mariners, 8-4, Saturday night at Seattle.
Tejada tripled in the first inning, singled in the third, doubled in the sixth and homered in the seventh.
Seatte’s Ichiro Suzuki set the major league rookie record for hits in a season with 234.
