  • To Enter Service: October 2010.
  • Gross Registered Tonnage: 90,400 GRT.
  • Length: 965 feet / 294 metres.
  • Beam: 106 feet / 32.3 metres.
  • Draft: 26 feet / 8 metres.
  • Cabins: 1046.
  • Passengers: 2,092.
  • Number of Decks: 12.
  • Space Ratio: 43.

 

 

Keel Laying Ceremony

On July 2, 2009, a ceremony was held to mark the Keel Laying of the new Queen Elizabeth. The ship is being constructed at the Monfalcone shipyard of Fincantieri near Trieste, Italy. 

The new Queen Elizabeth will become the second largest Cunarder ever built with the ship being the third new Cunard vessel constructed in the past seven years. She is expected to enter service in October 2010. You can watch the ceremony on the below video:
