SEPULTURA: 'Ostia' Video Posted Online - Jan. 9, 2008
SEPULTURA's video for the song "Ostia" can be viewed below. The second clip from the Brazilian thrashers' "Dante XXI" album was shot at a studio in São Paulo, Brazil in March 2007 prior to the band's departure for their European tour. During the following week, the video crew and the main actor shot the outdoor scenes in downtown São Paulo. The script, which adapts the story from the book "The Divine Comedy" to the modern days, was directed by Geraldo Moraes.

SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser is putting the finishing touches on his solo debut, entitled "Hubris I & II". A two-disc set, it is tentatively scheduled for release in April 2008 via Holland's Mascot Records. The CD was recorded in part at A Voz do Brasil studio in São Paulo, Brazil.

But as far as the actual clip goes, Post-Max Sepultura videos are better.

what drugs are you on?

I like old Sepultura as much as the next guy, but if Max comes back (and I hope that doesn't happen), the band will sound like crap. It'll become a complete parody of itself.

A dude in a bathrobe just walking through the city..? I don't get it :-/

Oh and compared to Max, there's too much screaming on Derek's part. Gets annoying IMHO

I forgot Max's sweet crooning on other recordings. I always love how he's able to really mix his voice up, he's very versatile singer that Max!

Hehe, never said Max was the greatest vocalist in the world either :-) it's just a different brand of Sepultura I'm finding myself having a bit of hard time getting used to I guess.

Considering the title of the album, the red robe, and the general theme of the video, it's pretty obvious that the robed figure is Dante, cast into a modern world, with a sprawling urban city centre with all its obscenities representing a present day purgatory.
But I would of course not expect any of you people to understand such subtleties.

I dare anyone to call Derrick Green an "emo kid" to his face.

That would be hilarious to see the outcome of that.

Current Sepultura fucking rule and they have a lot more integrity than Soulfly, even though I like Soulfly's latest two albums.

DANTE XXI is a masterpiece, as good as the best Sepultura albums.
I can't wait for the new one.

Polimar, I agree with you!

No this is not the Chaos AD or Roots days, but its still an awesome band that believes in themselves and not some lame ass trends...ie all these american metal-core-all-sound-the-same bands! So if you dont like the current stuff, go play your pop-core metal and shut your hole!

COMMENT | Very well described Edenspring

But as you say, 99% of the troglodytes writing on this website are not gonna get it. They don't even know who Dante is, all they know is Coca Cola, burgers, lust for pussy (which they never get) and obesity.

I jsut don't like Derrick Green's hardcore style vocals, The musicanship is still solid, I just think bew Sep is not as memorable as it was back when Max was in the band
