Championship side Charlton Athletic have signed goalkeeper Neil Etheridge on a permanent deal until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old initially joined the Addicks on loan from League One side Oldham in November.

Etheridge's short-term deal with the Latics expired on 30 December, allowing him to move to the Valley.

The Philippines international has made three appearances since joining the south east London side.

"Stephen Henderson will be out short-term so it's good to now be able to secure him until the end of the season," Charlton goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts told the club website., external

"He's a model professional and a good lad to have around the place so I'm delighted that we've secured his services."

Meanwhile Charlton defender Ayo Obileye has extended his loan deal at League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge until 7 February.
