How Anasuya became a TV anchor by chance

Anasuya Bharadwaj is one of the most popular TV anchors in the business today but not many know that she had never consciously planned to make a career on the small screen. She had studied MBA (Master of Business Administration) and was looking to enter the corporate industry when she landed in television by chance. "I worked as a HR executive for over a year after passing out with my MBA from Badruka College in 2008.I was getting a lot of movie offers by then but did not take them up. Then I got a chance to work as a news presenter in Sakshi television. One thing lead to another and here I am," shares Anasuya.
But that wasn't her first tryst with showbiz. She acted in the NTR film Naga as an extra. "I appear for just one scene in the film. I was in junior college then and I remember shooting for a whole day just for that scene. I got paid Rs 500 for it," recalls Anasuya.
