'Superman' gets the Singer/Ottman treatment:

John Ottman

After director McG left the new Superman movie due to a disagreement with the studio over the film's budget, X-Men director Bryan Singer takes over the project. And this also means that John Ottman gets his most prestigious film scoring assignment so far in his career. At this point, we have very little information about the project, but for the time being we have confirmation from John Ottman himself:

"All I can say is that he [Bryan Singer] is going to do it.  And yeah, I'm editing and scoring," Ottman says.

Ottman and Singer have been working together since the early nineties and got their breakthrough with The Usual Suspects in 1995. Since then, Ottman has scored some twenty feature films including X-Men 2, Apt Pupil and Gothika. The multitalented Ottman has also directed a feature film, Urban Legend: Final Cut. His most recent film scoring assignments include House of Wax, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Cellular.
